OUR PLACE

Your hosts JIM and KAREN DAVIS welcome you!

The Trojan Horse Lodge is located in Ludlow, Vermont on Route 100, just 1/4 mile south of Main Street. After a day of skiing, adventuring, or exploring you can relax in the back yard, the common lounge, or in our poetry corner. Our century old carriage barn is outfitted with six bunks in each of our three rooms. The bunks are solidly built and have firm, twin size mattresses. We have two large modern bathrooms with hot showers, a self service kitchen, and satellite TV with VCR and DVD player in our common room.

The Village of Ludlow is just a short distance from the Lodge. There are many craft, antique and gift shops in the area. Fine restaurants with a good variety of fare are plentiful in Ludlow, as well as sports bars, taverns and lounges.
During the summer there are concerts in the park featuring some of the local talent.
The surrounding hills and forests, lakes and streams are good for fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, camping, gold panning and cross country skiing.

We are pleased to offer discounted rates to visitors to the Weston Priory and the Fletcher Farm School. Please contact the Lodge for details.

SKIERS
Ludlow is in the heart of the Black River Valley. Out-door recreation abounds year round. Okemo Mountain Ski Resort, great for all abilities, is just 3 minutes from the Lodge.

There are 7 other ski areas (Killington, Pico, Bromley, Stratton, Magic Mountain, Ascutney Mountain, and Suicide Six) within about 45 minutes of the Lodge, offering a wide variety of conditions, terrain, and trails.
We are excited to be able to offer our guests discounted midweek lift tickets for Ascutney Mountain Resort. Contact us for details.

Okemo Valley Golf Club doubles as a cross country ski area in the winter months. There are other popular cross-country ski areas to the North and South of the Lodge.

CYCLERS
We have 'trip sheets' for many cycling rides in the area available to our guests upon request. The rides vary from 20 miles to 140 miles. Please ask for the sheets as you check in and we will be happy to get them for you.

HIKERS
You can access the Appalachian Trail at 3 points within 30 miles of the Lodge.
